Lughnasadh August 1st 2025
Flowers growing in the summer sun
The Lughnasadh spread honors the seeds that you have planted during Beltane, the roots that have grounded from the seeds during Ostara, the flowers that have broken through the soil during the Solstice and the beginning of the Harvest season. It’s time to honor the courage that you have been experiencing during this journey.
This spread is influenced by The Gentle Tarot. Mari in the Sky replaced the Page, Knight, Queen, and King with the Seed, Root, Flower, and Harvest respectfully. Let these card’s energies influence your spread this Lughnasadh.
Seed: This card represents what has already been planted. What you are hoping to grow. What you have been manifesting, your foundation
Root This card represents the path towards your Harvest. Where are you headed? What do you need to be realigned on your path
Flower This card represents fertility, growth and the divine feminine energy that lives within all of us. How can this architype support you on this path. What do you need to continue to bloom?
Harvest This card represents collecting, direction, and the divine masculine energy. How can this architype support you on this journey. What are you ready to collect?
Lughnasadh is a time for community, celebration, and collaboration. What are you ready to harvest?
Lughnasadh is a lesser known Sabbot. It is the halfway point between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox. It is the transitional time as we begin to shift closer to the fall. We are preparing for the harvest seasons, shorter days, cooler weather, and hunkering down. This is a Sabbot of gathering and being witnessed in community.
We continue to honor the Sun Deities with a special connection to Lugh, an Irish God who aided in liberation, justice and freedom after an experience of immense grief and betrayal. How can Lugh aid you in reclaiming what is rightfully yours. What can Lugh carry for you as you experience your grief?
